Beginning in 2006, Mr. Herbert worked intensively with SFHDC staff to develop Bay Oaks at 4800 Third Street. As a member of its Board of Directors, Mr. Herbert has been assisting San Francisco Housing Development Corporation (SFHDC) as development consultant and chair of the real estate committee since joining the board of directors in 2010. Consisting of eighteen (18) new homes in the Town Center District of Bayview, Bay Oaks offers both one- and two-bedroom condos for first time home buyers and approximately 2,100 square feet of ground floor commercial space that is currently occupied by Radio Africa & Kitchen. This four-story transit-oriented development (TOD) is located on a light rail line in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco and contains a parking garage and a podium courtyard.
